World Champ! Vito Arujau Takes Gold at 61 kg.

2023 has been full of titles for Vito Arujau.

NCAA Champ. US Open Champ. Final X Champ. Now, World Champion!

In Belgrade, Arujau dominated his way through Day 1 at 61kg, outscoring his opponents, 40-4. He began a pair of 10-0 tech falls, against Dastanbek of Kazakhstan and Iliev of Bulgaria. He followed with an 8-2 victory over Japan's Ogawa before another tech - this time over Zhumashbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan).

In the finals, he met 2021 World Champ Magomedov, coming out on top 10-9 in a well-deserved win. Arujau joins his father, Vougar Oroudjov (2x World Champ) as a World gold medalist and has now made the finals at the World Cadet, Junior, and Senior levels.
