At the Bobby Kaufman Open at Edinboro on Sunday, Spartan Combat was well represented on the podium.
Leading the way with a second place finish was Carter Tate, who was the runner up at 141 pounds after a 4-1 day. He had a major and a technical fall along the way.
Also placing at 141 was George Oroudjov, who notched third. He also went 4-1 with a major and a pin with his loss against Tate.
Carson Crace took third at 184 pounds after getting his hand raised twice.
Mac Calavitta earned three victories and was 6th at 149, while Ernie Perry also won a trio of matches (a technical fall and two majors) to nab 6th at 125.
Also competing for Spartan were Buzz Bomberger (157), Roberto Padilla (165), and Zahir McLean-Felix (174).
